About Rocket

We build modern tech in a typically antiquated market. We are a profitable SaaS company with 450+ clients – mostly high schools and colleges. Most of our 7 person team graduated from Brown University in 2021 with backgrounds in computer science. Since then, we have grown the team with world class talent in engineering, creative design, marketing, customer success, and sales.

What We Do

Rocket Alumni Solutions makes web-based touchscreen software. We make it all “Just Work” and allow schools to upload massive amounts of media. We make all that media look pretty and organized. We then enable schools to engage alumni & donors with this information. We simplify the process of delivering museum quality web-based touchscreen displays and allow schools to engage alumni at scale.

We push the boundaries of web development to make the highly complex seem simple. Everything we build works on all devices as a website: touchscreens, phones, laptops, tablets, any device connected to the internet. Everything is insanely optimized.

Projects you’ll work on

• Implement web services to analyze and index vast repositories of text and media to help organizations better leverage their information

• Build massively scalable self-service application flows for specific product use cases

• Implement intelligent data harvesting tools to drive product development, increase user engagement - facial recognition, Pendo, custom creative methods

• Build high quality component systems tailored for museum quality graphics & design

• Build, maintain, and innovate on a large scale enterprise level cloud platform

• Write performant design creation tools utilizing bleeding edge WebGPU, Canvas, WebAssembly, AR/ VR Browser Based Frameworks

• Robust advertising management tools

Requirements

• Expert in Full Stack Development: Expertise in our 'dream stack' - MongoDB, Express, Vue, Node (MEVN). You should be able to build complex applications from the ground up using these technologies.

• Expert at Building Media-Intensive Web Applications: Experience designing and building web applications that heavily integrate images and videos.

• Expert with Advanced Web Technologies: Working knowledge of WebGPU, Canvas, WebAssembly, and AR/VR browser-based frameworks. Ability to leverage these technologies for high-performance, innovative web applications.

• Expert in Infrastructure Tools: Deep understanding of AWS. Experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure and familiarity with the principles of infrastructure as code.

• Expert in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Experience with CI/CD pipelines, understanding the importance of automated testing and deployment processes.
